WooCommerce → Shopify
BeBetterNow needed to leave WooCommerce behind without losing what nearly three decades of trading had built — its product catalog, its customer base, and its search visibility. We rebuilt the store on Shopify’s Focal theme and moved every record across with nothing left behind.

The store’s age was its biggest asset and its biggest migration risk at the same time.
Thousands of ranking URLs, backlinks, and blog pages that could not be allowed to break during cutover.
Full order history and lifetime value data needed to survive the move with accounts correctly linked.
Order numbering, statuses, and line-item detail all had to reconcile cleanly for reporting and support.
Live billing schedules and payment tokens had to move to Shopify without interrupting a single renewal.
Plugin conflicts and server load were already limiting page speed, checkout reliability, and admin usability.
A visual refresh was welcome — a feature regression that hurt conversion or day-to-day management was not.
A structured, sequenced migration — data first, SEO protected throughout, storefront rebuilt last.
Before anything moved, we audited the full WooCommerce environment — product taxonomy, variant structure, custom fields, order metadata, customer tagging, subscription statuses, and the entire blog archive — to build a field-mapping blueprint and flag legacy data that needed cleanup first.
Every core record type was migrated and reconciled against the source before the old store was treated as a fallback rather than the source of truth.
Treated as a first-class workstream given the site’s history, not an afterthought to the rebuild.
Rather than a like-for-like port, the storefront was rebuilt on Shopify’s Focal theme — matching every conversion-critical feature the business relied on while improving speed and layout.
Active subscriptions were mapped one-to-one onto a Shopify-native subscription model with continuity as the non-negotiable requirement.
Checkout, tax and shipping rules, discounts, subscription billing, and redirect coverage were validated end-to-end in staging. Cutover was scheduled to minimize downtime, with DNS and redirects verified live immediately after launch.
Delivered with full data integrity and no disruption to live subscriptions or search visibility.
Customer records migrated with order history intact
Historical orders transferred with full line-item detail
Of SEO equity protected through full redirect coverage
Note: Post-launch metrics — organic traffic retention, page speed improvement, and conversion rate change — will be added to this case study once sufficient data has been collected after go-live.
Full-coverage 301 redirect mapping and metadata parity protected rankings and backlinks built up since long before Shopify existed.
13,000+ customers and 46,000+ orders transferred and reconciled against source with complete accuracy.
Active billing schedules and payment methods moved to Shopify without pausing or cancelling a single subscriber.
Focal-based storefront redesigned for speed and conversion while preserving every feature the business depended on.
